Jordan Paga signs new one-year deal

Rochdale Hornets half-back Jordan Paga has agreed a new one-year deal with the club ahead of the 2027 season.

Paga arrived at the Crown Oil Arena from Swinton Lions last September and has gone on to feature 14 times in all competitions, scoring twice.

During that time, he proved his versatility by playing in the halves, as well as hooker and full-back towards the end of the campaign.

Having suffered a broken leg during pre-season, Paga worked his way back to full fitness as the campaign progressed and we look forward to seeing him fulfil his potential with a full pre-season under his belt.

"I’m really happy to have re-signed with Rochdale," he said.

"The coaches and the lads have been brilliant, and that was a big reason behind my decision to stay.

"I also feel like I’ve got a lot more to give after last season, especially with breaking my leg at the start of the year and not being able to reach my full potential.

"I’m looking forward to getting back to full fitness, playing some good rugby and hopefully having a really successful season with the team."

Rochdale Hornets chairman Andy Mazey said: "Jordan was a big signing for us this year but was unlucky and started the pre-season and season injured.

“His versatility since returning to fitness has seen him cover full-back, half-back and nine for Gary Thornton, and he's got better and better as the year has gone on.

“We are delighted to have agreed a new contract with Jordan, and we feel the best is yet to come from him in a Hornets shirt.

“Jordan will be a big part of our 2027 group, and it's more positive news for our supporters."
