Lukas Mason joins Hornets on short-term loan

Wigan Warriors back-rower Lukas Mason has joined Rochdale Hornets on a short-term loan deal.
The 20-year-old is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Warriors, but has gained valuable experience at a senior level during his time at Oldham last season, and most recently, at Salford RLFC, where he featured in their first Championship victory of the season in a 29-18 win over Hunslet in February.
Lukas, who is the son of former Huddersfield and St Helens prop forward Keith Mason, joined Wigan Warriors as a scholar and has progressed through the ranks at the club to earn a spot in their reserves squad.
The youngster will bolster the squad ahead of Sunday's league clash against Midlands Hurricanes at the Crown Oil Arena.
