Update: 2026 women's season

Rochdale Hornets have been informed that Fryston Warriors and Thatto Heath Crusaders have withdrawn from the 2026 Women's Northern League 1 competition.

The division will continue as normal with the remaining six teams. An update will be made in due course regarding the structure of the end-of-season play-offs. 

The Hornets Women were not due to face either side until mid-June. 

Ben Bird's side begin their league campaign at home to Illingworth on Sunday 19 April. 

Home fixtures will take place at The Hive @ Balderstone Park. All games will also have a 2pm kick-off time, unless stated otherwise.
